Convent of Mercy

Garnethill Convent Higher Grade School opened in Buccleuch Street in 1856. It moved to Hill Street in 1929 and the name changed to Garnethill Convent Senior Secondary School, or Convent of Mercy, in 1940.
The school closed in 1981.
